About Us
A History of Building What Lasts
Airoom’s story began with a simple belief; exceptional work starts with integrity, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship. Over the years, we’ve expanded our capabilities, refined our process, and built a team of talented professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional results. In doing so, we’ve helped shape thousands of homes across the Chicago area.
The Family Behind the Work
Propelled by an unwavering commitment to excellence, Burton Klein founded Airoom in 1958. What began as a small remodeling business quickly grew through a reputation for quality and trust.
In 1983, leadership transitioned to Burton’s son, Michael Klein. He expanded Airoom’s capabilities, introduced emerging design and construction technologies, and helped shape a more integrated approach to remodeling. Under his vision, Airoom grew its scope and took on increasingly complex residential projects.
Today, Airoom is led by Michael Klein, along side the third generation of the Klein family, Maxx and Jack Klein, and President, Tom Graham. Building on the foundation established before them, they continue to evolve how projects are designed and delivered, expanding the company’s reach while staying grounded in its original values.
Values That Guide Us
While the industry has changed significantly over the years, our commitment to craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and lasting relationships has remained consistent.

Setting the Standard for Remodeling Excellence
Airoom has earned recognition from industry organizations, professional associations, and design competitions nationwide. These honors reflect the quality of our work and the dedication of our team.
More importantly, they reinforce the standards we hold ourselves to every day.
While we are proud of the recognition we’ve received, we are even more proud of the trust we’ve built with homeowners across Chicagoland.
Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future
Looking ahead, our focus remains on helping homeowners create spaces that are both beautiful and enduring.
We continue to invest in our people, embrace new ideas, and evolve with the needs of today’s homeowners, while staying true to the values that have guided us for more than 60 years.
