This home renovation design took a Northbrook house from ho-hum to heart-stopping inside and out – and front to back. We used peaked rooftops and dormers to break up a dreary exterior, adding a firepit and portico in the rear, and seamlessly joining a 30’ x 30’ custom room addition. The newly-built great room has multiple windows, allowing light to reflect on its hardwood floors. Even high traffic areas like the hallway and mudroom were made over with wood banisters and cabinets. Take a closer look at the kitchen.
