Throughout his career, Marty has been involved in remodeling, new custom homes, commercial development, site selection and store development for a national chain.

Marty attended Northern Illinois University, where he discovered his love for architecture and design and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate Development. What he finds most gratifying is developing ways to improve his clients lives by designing and building the projects of their dreams. Marty’s work has earned such accolades as the 2011 Qualified Remodeler Magazine Gold Medal Award.

After two decades of design-build experience, Kevin thrives on the rush of seeing two-dimensional sketches evolve into tangible form. He once considered a career in Aerospace Engineering, but home design captured the perfect balance of both his creative and mathematical talents, becoming his life’s passion. Today, he is not only responsible for transforming ordinary spaces into stunning designs, but also for mentoring designers to do the same.

Kevin earned his degree in Architectural Sciences from University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, and has been dedicated to serving Airoom clients for the last decade. He takes great pride in his ability to bring a client’s creativity to life, and finds nothing more rewarding than seeing people light up when talking about their finished project. Several of Kevin’s projects have been featured in magazines such as Glancer and Western Suburban Living.

A life long artist, Pam’s first detailed home design was sketched in colored pencil at age eight. By twenty-four, she had put an addition on a townhouse. In between, she learned aspects of home design from laying tile to refinishing furniture.

Although her stunning designs have garnered such recognition as the Contractor of the Year (CoTY) award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), Pam values real world results over design competitions. She loves advising clients through the material selection process, drawing inspiration from their enthusiasm.

A member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), Pam’s work has been featured in many local publications, as well as the Winnetka Garden Walk tour. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Winona State University and her Master’s from University of Illinois, Chicago.

Calina oversees the architects and designers who create initial concepts for Airoom’s home addition and renovation projects. Her guidance, leadership, and adherence to industry standards help the whole team develop innovative designs. She thrives on Airoom’s quick and creative environment, and gets the greatest gratification out of creating the best solutions to fit each client’s budget, range and lifestyle.

Calina has been with Airoom for 9 years and has over 28 years of industry experience. She is currently a member of NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry) and NKBA with Airoom. Calina received her Bachelor degree in Construction Engineering from Purdue University, Hammond, IN.

With over two decades of experience to her credit, it’s no surprise that Linda’s work has been recognized by such publications as Luxe, CS Interiors, Chicago Home and Garden, and Kitchen and Bath Design News. She is a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer – the highest certification offered through the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). She is also the Vice President of Professional Development for the NKBA’s Chicago Mid-West Chapter, mentoring aspiring designers to succeed in the field of kitchen design. Her work was voted Best of Show in the Chicago Midwest Chapter Design Vision Awards after winning the Large Kitchen, Other Rooms Award and placing 3rd in the Medium Kitchen category.

Linda is consistently touched by the uniquely personal stories that inspire her clients to remodel their homes. She feels most accomplished when her clients are both excited about and at peace with the projects she designs. Linda is also an avid, award-winning equestrian and competes in the International levels of Dressage.She loves to cook, entertain, and garden at her vintage village home.

Betsy’s passion began in childhood, with the continual designing, rearranging, and repainting of her room. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Miami University, Oxford, she joined a prestigious architectural firm in Columbus, OH. There, she gained the experience that would eventually allow her to open her own design consulting firm. She’s very proud to have handled every facet of that business while raising two wonderful sons and maintaining strong client relationships.

Melissa’s vision stems from many styles of architecture, including Craftsman, Traditional and Mid-century Modern. She loves the process of collaborating with her clients to resolve their unique challenges, and her proudest moments revolve around happy homeowners claiming “that’s exactly what I never knew I always wanted!” Melissa graduated the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, and is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

Borrowing inspiration from a fellow bearer of his name, Walt loves the idea of turning his client’s home into their “happiest place on Earth.” Among his accolades are Chicago Home Magazine’s recognition in their Elements of Surprise challenge. Despite a personal fondness for classical design, he appreciates all forms of architecture, stating that design affords him “the opportunity to elevate an environment to its highest level of functionality, inspiration, and enjoyment.”

In addition to his architectural experience, Walt specializes in managing projects and leading teams, and he seeks to build bridges. Over 18 years in the field has taught him to gather input and listen carefully. He earned his BFA in Interior Design, from Harrington College of Design with a focus in spatial planning. He is also a member of the International Interior Design Association.

Kathryn has grown up in the world of remodeling. Her childhood home was always under construction and her uncle is a builder. Her early experiences became a catalyst for her passion and career.

Kathryn’s accomplishments are numerous. Since earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from the Illinois Institute of Art, she’s had a hand in such projects as a living room in Merchandise Mart’s Dream Home and Hanamint furniture showroom.

In her spare time, she has designed five custom homes. Despite constantly evolving with architectural trends, Kathryn has a special affinity for modern design tempered with 17th century flair. While she’s always happy to see the results of her efforts being built, nothing thrills her quite like the look on a client’s face when the goal is achieved and they find themselves living in the home they imagined.

Over the last twenty-five years, Steve has worked in every phase of the construction industry. With over 700 custom projects to his credit, his vast experience spans both residential and commercial construction on both domestic and international levels.

While working as a National Trainer for dealer networks throughout the US, Steve fostered creativity and impeccable service in other designers from coast to coast. Among his many awards for innovation in architecture is the “Top Sunroom” Award from the National Sunroom Association. He earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from University of Miami, and holds certifications in most construction categories, including sunrooms, windows, exterior & interior surfaces and entryways.

In his spare time, Steve is also a licensed pilot, a certified rescue diver, and the father of three beautiful daughters. Some other fun facts about him are that he speaks Dutch fluently, and reads and writes German.

Sarah has been customizing spaces since she created a 6’x6′ world of Legos in her childhood home. Her interest in design led her across the pond, where she sketched her architectural inspirations in such cities as Rome and Milan. After graduating Iowa State University with a BFA in interior design, she channeled her passion into a diversified career in high-end residential remodeling.

Green design has greatly influenced her work, inspiring her to gain her LEED accreditation. She even worked on the first LEED Gold new construction commercial building in Chicago. After years of designing high end kitchens and bathrooms for KOHLER, leading construction teams, mentoring newer designers, managing the creation of custom homes, Sarah is delighted to be back to her true love – one on one client interaction.

While her own home is an eclectic blend of modern and reclaimed pieces, nothing delights her like sculpting her clients’ homes into a style that perfectly reflects their personalities.

Nikki has been captivated by architectural elements since childhood, often forsaking her toy box in favor of rearranging her room.

Thriving on a challenge, Nikki prides herself on finding the perfect balance between her clients’ budgets and the homes they’ve always dreamed of. In fact – practical, buildable design is one of her greatest passions, and her ability to unite form and function is born of time spent on both the design and contractor ends of the architectural spectrum.

After over a decade of working in residential and commercial architecture, interiors and exteriors, and even furniture and textile design, Nikki’s tastes span everything from Nantucket to Craftsman to Victorian to Second Empire. This diverse appreciation enables her to craft personalized, custom spaces for her clients, as well as lasting relationships with them. She holds a degree in Architectural Interior Design from Harrington College of Design and another in Psychology from Northern Illinois University.
