We’re often asked about our kitchen renovation process here at Airoom, so we decided to show it to you in three minutes. This time-lapse video shows the many skilled craftsmen – electricians, carpenters, and tile installers, who all play a critical role in the creation of our design-build remodeling projects.

Beautiful oak hardwood floors add warmth and texture to this transitional kitchen. They also serve as the foundation upon which the rest of the kitchen will be built.

Dark brown chocolate stained Alder hardwood cabinets feature crystal knobs that add a touch of vintage design and sparkle to this kitchen. The cabinets were trimmed with crown molding to add architectural detail and height as well as finish the look.

The granite island was selected for its durability, beauty and movement, and the accented white marble counters were chosen for their character. To help minimize etching which can occur on heavily polished surfaces like marble, a technique called honing was applied to provide a flat sheen. This honed finish was intended to provide visual contrast with the high polish of the granite.

The kitchen island provides added workspace and storage as well as functional seating. This custom-built banquette is a modern spin on classic eat-in kitchen design.

Technology-leading LED under cabinet lights are not only energy efficient but illuminate the tile backsplash. Square-shaped can lights, wall sconces and pendant lights ensure well-lit workspaces. A simple chandelier hangs over a custom-made table and custom upholstered banquette.

A framed, magnetic black and cork board over the built-in desk provides a decorative yet functional feature, and helps on-the go families, or busy individuals. This is complemented by an arched, enclosed hood which surrounds the range and oven. White marble lightens the visual weight of the hood without overwhelming the space.
