CHRIS DICICCO

With over 15 years of experience in the homebuilding business, Chris DiCiccio, Airoom’s Vice President of Business Development, is a stalwart figure in the space. Originally from Schaumburg, IL, Chris holds a degree in Finance from Roosevelt University. He started his career interning with a design-build firm in high school and college, and quickly moved on to the role of superintendent doing fieldwork with a national homebuilder in the area. His passion for homebuilding continued to grow, and he worked his way up to a Project Manager position, spearheading involved homebuilding projects for large territories and multiple sub-divisions.

Chris has always been particularly interested in the Craftsman style of architecture, and has found the greatest reward in his work is making his clients happy. Over the years, Chris has earned multiple awards for Highest Customer Satisfaction, and has a true talent for involving his clients in every stage of each project he works on.

Throughout his career, Marty has been involved in remodeling, new custom homes, commercial development, site selection and store development for a national chain.

Marty attended Northern Illinois University, where he discovered his love for architecture and design, while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate Development. What he finds most gratifying is developing ways to improve his clients’ lives by designing and building the projects of their dreams. Marty’s work has earned such accolades as the 2011 Qualified Remodeler Magazine Gold Medal Award and Silver Medal in 2015.

MARVIN WARNER

If we can say anything about Marv Warner, it’s that he’s a true vanguard in the design and architecture world. Aside from his already remarkable tenure at Airoom— where he has worked as a standout Senior Project Manager for 23 years and counting— he ran his own business for 25 years before joining the team.

At Airoom, Marv uses his wide knowledge of design, architecture, and construction to supervise all plan developments with every client that walks through our doors, and acts as a guide for clients from development conception to the final phase of construction. No stranger to the design industry, he has worked in every possible design field across the past 44 years and his favorite designers and styles are a reflection of the time he’s devoted to his craft. When Marv’s not at the office, you can find him on the golf course or spending time at home with his five lovely grandkids.

Gina has been with Airoom for 10 ½ years and has acquired many titles including Project Development Manager, Showroom Director and Senior Kitchen & Bathroom Designer. She combines all three when designing functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces for clients and outfitting entire rooms with specific products while working within given investments.

A Chicago native, Gina received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Harrington Institute of Interior Design in Chicago and has been nationally recognized for her work since graduation. She was a 2012 National Kitchen and Bath Design Competition Finalist and her work has been featured in a number of publications including Kitchen and Bath News Magazine and National Kitchen and Bath Association Magazine.

Gina knew from a very early age that she wanted to be involved with architecture and design. She has always had a creative nature, with a pragmatic type personality. The combination of the two, plus her affinity for people, took her on a clear path to success in residential design. According to Gina, the most rewarding part of her job is knowing she enhanced the well being of her client (and family’s) life by improving their dwellings.

Equal parts designer, artist and craftsman, Pam has been a Kitchen and Bath Designer with Airoom for 13 years and has 17 years of experience in her field. An Illinois native with a Bachelor’s degree from Winona State University and a Master’s from University of Illinois, Pam is a life-long artist. Her first detailed home design was sketched in colored pencil at age eight and it comes as no surprise that by age twenty-four, she had put an addition on a townhouse. During the years between, she learned a variety of home design aspects including laying tile and refinishing furniture.

Although her stunning designs have garnered such recognition as the Contractor of the Year (CoTY) Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), Pam values real world results over design competitions. She knows how to captivate her audience with her creativity and knowledge. She loves advising clients through the material selection process and drawing inspiration from their enthusiasm.

A member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), Pam’s work has been featured in many local publications, as well as the Winnetka Garden Walk tour.

MAXX KLEIN

From a very young age, Maxx Klein always knew he would be a part of the design and architecture world. His family has worked in construction, architecture, and design for three generations, and his work and talents he contributes to Airoom are a testimony to the time he’s spent surrounded by others who have helped mold him into the project manager he is today. Maxx was hired on as a Project Development Manager at Airoom after graduating from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2018.

If you ask him, architecture and design have always been in his blood; At the young age of 17, Maxx founded his own cabinet and appliance resale company called Sellvage One, where he helps customers sell their existing cabinetry and home appliances during a move or remodel. As a Project Development Manager at Airoom, Maxx particularly enjoys the process of finding ways to make his clients’ visions become realities while working within their budgetary wishes. Maxx has a sharp eye for aesthetics, and loves Coastal or mid-century inspired design. He’s an avid traveler, is passionate for outdoor activities like skiing, and when he’s not at the office you can likely find him dining at new, interesting restaurants all around the Chicago area.

PEGGY SORENSON

Like many of her contemporaries, Peggy was passionate about design and the impact of interior composition on the world around her from a very young age. In her early years, Peggy cut her teeth in Design sketching floor plans for her eager classmates on the Northwest side of Chicago at an affordable rate of ten cents per piece. Her creative drive and fervent desire to share her craft pushed her to study Interior Design at Purdue University and Harrington College of Design.

LYNDA OERTEL

Lynda joins the Airoom team with 7 years of residential design experience to her name. Having first earned her degree from WIU, she spent time as a project developer at Sears Kitchen & Remodeling and Galaxie construction before bringing her expertise to Airoom as a Project Development Manager. Lynda adeptly acts as a sort of gatekeeper between the renovation world and her clients, providing them with information on project scopes, design solutions, financial solutions, and carefully guiding each client through the Airoom process, acting as their key advocate from those preliminary design conversations all the way through to the completed renovation. When she’s not dedicating herself to ensuring Airoom clients have the best renovation experience possible, you can find her spending time with her daughter, or enjoying outdoor activities like hiking, mountain climbing, and white water rafting.

SIOBHAN REYNA

A quick glance at Siobhan’s resume would reveal that her eye for design has taken her to versatile and impressive heights. Originally from Barrington, IL, Siobhan received her BFA from Harrington Institute of Interior Design, where her natural inclination for understanding client’s needs and her ability to consistently meet their aesthetic expectations was carefully refined. Throughout her career, she’s had the opportunity to perfect her skills as a design project manager, working for companies like Expo Design Center & Lowes where she helped make her clients’ remodeling dreams a reality. Siobhan also ran her own interior design company for nine years, working on projects as diverse as Chicago police departments and high end residential projects throughout the area. More than anything else, she loves a tough design challenge and feels she excels most when a client presents a design issue that she gets to solve. She effortlessly blends rustic, traditional, and industrial elements into the projects she works on, and finds her biggest joy in taking a house and transforming it into a home her clients will love for years to come.

DAVID SHALKOW

A quick look at David Shalkow’s work history will reveal that he’s quite the Renaissance man when it comes to the Design/Build world. David originally hails from Monterrey, Mexico, a place whose history and varied style has left a large impression on his work and aesthetic today. David graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from Anahuac University in Mexico City, Mexico, and boasts 20 years of international experience working in all phases of commercial and residential construction projects. At Airoom, David is a Design Associate where he collaborates with his fellow Project Development Managers to find adequate and innovative solutions to create new spaces for his clients.

Before lending his design expertise and creative vision to Airoom, David led a Design/Build firm in Mexico, where he had the opportunity to combine his passion for travel with architecture, designing apartments in cities like Acapulco, Cancun, and many others. Though David is a natural creative, his approach to his work falls into the analytical; He shines when he is able to find spacial solutions that perfectly adhere to his clients’ needs and wants. Some of his passions outside of design include cooking, movie nights, and spending time on science projects with his son.

LIZ WENSEL

Though design and architecture were career paths that Liz Wensel stepped into later in life, it didn’t stop her from quickly making a mark on the industry with her talent for detailed and attentive design proposals and wide knowledge of various architecture movements and styles. Liz completed her Applied Associates in Science degree in 2016 from the College of DuPage and joined the Airoom team shortly after graduation. Not one to shy away from going the extra mile, she also completed the classes necessary for certification in Kitchen & Bath Design, Advanced Lighting, and Computer-aided Drafting. Liz now enjoys her post as a Design Associate for Airoom, where she assists the Project Development Managers in creating comprehensive design proposals and prepares 2D layouts and 3D computer models to present to prospective Airoom clients. Here she really gets to put her credentials into practice, creating presentation for projects ranging from simple pull and replace kitchen and baths to large and complex interior remodels and home additions. She finds herself drawn to architecture hailing from the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 20th century, and the Japanese-inspired Prairie School of Architecture. Liz’s next goal is to pass the NKBA certification exams, but in her free time she enjoys walking her dogs and working her way through the New York Times weekly crossword puzzles.
