How To Improve Your Curb Appeal

If the exterior of your house is beginning to look dated the best place to start updating is your siding.  Replacing siding has been known to payback between 82% and 87% of the money invested. It makes sense to replace your siding when it has become worn or there is visible damage.

One of the best choices in siding is fiber-cement siding such as HardiePlank® lap siding manufactured by James Hardie. They are one of the most popular siding brands that can be found on millions of homes in America and they have been in business for nearly 100 years. James Hardie siding is the perfect partner for Airoom since we only use time tested quality products in our renovations.

Profit From Remodeling Your Kitchen

Times are changing. We are ushering in a new period of standards. High-end design that is implemented just for the sake of keeping up with the Jones’ is being replaced with a more sensible thought process. Trendy is evolving into design concepts that incorporate longevity and practicality. With the current economic climate, we are now looking at how we can live with or improve our current home rather than moving into a new home that has everything we need.

You may think that now is not the time to spend money on home renovation with the constant barrage of financial issues in the news. Not so. Think about it this way – you probably keep hearing financial advisors on TV or in the paper saying to continue contributing to your 401K in order to take full advantage of market rebounds. Now take this concept and it apply it to your home. It actually translates to home renovation very well. If you are planning on staying in your current home for an extended period of time, it is important to continue to work on home improvements along the way. By doing this you not only get to enjoy the benefits of your remodel, but you also spread the investment out over time instead of trying to update your whole house at once.

One of the rooms where you will receive the highest benefit in renovation is the kitchen. Not only is this a room where you can get the best return on your investment in the long run, but it is where you spend the majority of your time at home.

How can you update your kitchen in a money-savvy way? You do this by incorporating timeless, practical design elements into your renovation. Here are some tips to consider when designing your kitchen remodel: (more…)

Amaze Magazine… Remodeling Tips in a Down Market With Mike Klein

As the real estate market continues to stall, now is the time to renovate that old house! In these troubled times, homeowners who are looking to attract buyers are making upgrades to their current homes as a way to stand out from the competition. Kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements and garages are considered the most important rooms when buyers are looking to buy a home.  When these rooms are in top condition, the home is more likely to attract offers than a home that has not been remodeled. CEO of Airoom Mike Klein states “People are realizing that in this slump, the best thing to do is renovate. Renovation adds value to the house for the future without breaking the bank.”  Here are a few suggestions to help you improve the overall look, feel and quality of your home:

Judging A House By It’s Exterior
Exterior additions completely change the way your home looks.  Simple things such as painting, window treatments and siding will make your house stick out and attract attention. For a more dramatic approach, homeowners can add wooden porches, pools and or create a new entrance to the home. To see some examples of exterior renovations, click on this link.

Airoom’s proprietary S.T.A.R.T.™ process (System To Assure Resources and Timing) ensures that your home addition, kitchen, or renovation project runs smoothly. The first of it’s kind, Airoom established the system in order to make sure clients know exactly what is happening as their remodeling dreams unfold, and what to expect next as the process continues. After being in business for over 50 years, the process has become so fine-tuned that it’s the envy of everyone in the industry.

Step 1: Initial Consultation. At this point, you have ideas about what you want to see done. You might know every detail down to the color of wood and the length of cabinets you need, or you might only know that you want to redo your kitchen. Either way, we’re here to give you our advice and suggestions.

Step 2: Planning and Design. Watch your dreams take shape as they go from ideas to the drawing board. After we know what you’re looking for, our Designer will work their magic and come up with a preliminary design to show you.

Step 3: Specifications and Cost Approval. After you’re satisfied with your design, we present you with your color renderings and floor plans. But, don’t worry, nothing is final yet — you can still change your mind! We’ll be happy to talk you through any changes, options and recommendations. (more…)

Your Home Should Be In Magazines!

Airoom loves their clients, and we’re thrilled that clients love us! We’re ecstatic each time we get a letter from a satisfied client and we want to share them with you! (Just in case you need another reason to consult Airoom for all your remodeling needs.)

Airoom Builders and Remodeling recently completed a remodeling/addition project at our residence.

Our first contact was with Dudley. My wife and I found him energized, enthusiastic and most importantly, creative.  It was Dudley who came up with the final design and vision.  Following our acceptance of the plan, a flurry of activity followed.  All of your employees and staff were considerate, knowledgeable and professional.  We were given a clear picture of what to expect and when to expect it.   (more…)

Improve, Don’t Move.

We understand you have grounds for needing a change, but there’s a list of reasons to opt for improving, not moving.

We understand you have grounds for needing a change, but there’s a list of reasons to opt for improving, not moving.

Put the moving boxes down. Stop packing up all your memories. Don’t worry about saying goodbye to all your friends and neighbors. We understand you have grounds for needing a change, but there’s a list of reasons to opt for improving, not moving.

1) Size does matter.

The number one reason most people decide to move is for space. Growing families, working from home, wanting more room to entertain. Each is a valid point, but each can also be easily fixed with home improvements.

Adding a room addition for that new bundle of joy, transforming a drab space into a state-of-the-art office or extending a kitchen to accommodate appliances made for a chef are all attainable goals when you work with the right remodeling firm.
